I started at Smart Commercial Solar as a Sales Cadet, fresh to the industry, trying to break into a market that wasn’t exactly buying. It wasn’t easy, but I didn’t expect it to be. I kept my head down, stayed consistent, and focused on creating real conversations with the right people. Within six months, I was promoted to Business Development Representative. I’d generated a solid flow of qualified leads and built momentum in an environment where solar wasn’t moving. From there, I stepped into selling on my own and delivered. Between January and July, I sold over $700,000 worth of solar and battery solutions. These weren’t easy wins. They were hard-earned through persistence, creative outreach, and understanding what each business actually needed. That performance led to another promotion: Business Development Manager. I became the youngest BDM in the company’s history, progressing from Cadet to BDM in under a year. Along the way, I’ve consistently hit and exceeded KPIs. But beyond the numbers, it’s been about making a real impact. I’ve helped businesses in retail, logistics, manufacturing and more rethink their energy use, delivering cost savings and long-term sustainability strategies. I’m not just selling a product; I’m solving a problem. I’ve also backed the team where I can. I’ve supported other BDM’s stepping into the, shared outreach strategies that worked for me, and collaborated with engineering and pre-sales to shape better, more effective proposals. I became in a leader within the sales team. The ProGrad model gave me the structure and support I needed to launch. I’m proud of what I’ve done so far, but I’m even more excited for what’s next. That’s why I believe I should be recognised in my category and as the overall ProGradian.
