MoneyTech

Over the past 15 months as National Sales Manager at Moneytech, I’ve had the privilege of doing all three: delivering exceptional sales outcomes, shaping a high-performing culture, and preparing the next generation of leaders. I joined Moneytech three and a half years ago after more than a decade in commercial finance. My career began in 2008 through the ProForce (then ProGrad) program, and since then I’ve worked across senior BDM and corporate finance roles before stepping into national leadership. The transition to Moneytech came at a key time when the business was rapidly scaling, and I saw the opportunity to contribute to that growth. Under my leadership, our team has grown settlements from $53.8 million in June 2024 to $95.9 million a year later - a 78% increase. Just as importantly, this growth has come while building a young, dynamic team who are now self-sufficient, confident, delivering results well beyond what you’d expect at their stage of career. My greatest achievement has been transforming three early-career ProForce graduates into trusted performers who handle complex broker scenarios with professionalism and resilience. Culture is important to Moneytech and central to our success. Within my own team, I’ve worked on building confidence, encouraging critical thinking, and creating accountability. Instead of relying on ‘the way things have always been done,’ they’re now making informed, independent decisions. That shift has helped Moneytech to innovate, my team to respond faster to brokers, and strengthens Moneytech’s reputation as a partner that delivers. Leadership has also meant contributing to the broader strategy of Moneytech. I’ve played a key role in product enhancements, credit matrix changes, and I’m very keen right now to explore how technology can take our business further, for example, how we could double settlements from $100 million to $200 million without adding risk. I strongly believe leaders shouldn’t fear change - whether it’s AI or new product models - but should use it to drive efficiency and opportunity. Outside of Moneytech, I co-chair the annual Inala Charity Lunch, which raises funds and awareness for young adults living with disabilities. Coordinating an event of 500 people, bringing in corporate sponsors, and securing speakers such as former Prime Minister John Howard and sporting legend Wendell Sailor has been hugely rewarding, not only for the money raised but also for the relationships I’ve built with leaders from many different fields. Looking ahead, I see my role at Moneytech broadening into areas like strategy, product development and other parts of the business. Being part of a young, ambitious leadership team, there’s a real opportunity to help shape the next phase of Moneytech’s growth, while also guiding and developing up-and-coming talent. Because my own career started with the ProGrad program, I value the opportunity to now support our graduates as they begin their professional journey.
