Since starting my career as a Junior Sales Executive through the ProGrad program, I’ve come a long way, both in terms of career progression and personal growth. One of the achievements I’m most proud of is the transition from being an individual contributor to stepping into leadership. Managing a team of four gave me the opportunity to develop others, share knowledge, and foster a culture of collaboration. I learned how to balance driving results with supporting people, and it was rewarding to see my team members grow in confidence and capability. That experience cemented my belief that success isn’t just about hitting personal targets, it’s about lifting others up with you. The best part about having sales skills is being able to apply them to different industries. I have working in certification, hospitality, property and recently back into the certification, training sales world. I have also been able to assist my partner when he started up his rope access business, by using by BD skills to find clients. My biggest achievement has been having my baby girl and being able to juggle the transition back into the full time world. Being able to have flexibility with work and family life has made it so much more fulfilling. Recently in the first year of my newest role, my achievements have been successfully achieving at least 90% of target each month. Client satisfaction - assisting to create solutions to meet client training needs as well as problem solving. Ability to work autonomously in a new role. Business development through external avenues - LinkedIn Optimizing local trainers as most as possible to reduce costs to the business. Effective communication with internal colleagues as well as trainers and external resources to create relationships. Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come since that first sales role. I’ve grown into a leader, achieved milestones I once thought out of reach, and contributed to the business in ways that extend beyond my own role. Looking forward, I know there’s much more to achieve, but winning my category, and potentially the overall ProGradian, would be a recognition of the journey so far: one of growth, impact, and the commitment to keep striving for more.
