Some moments feel meant to happen. Reflecting on my journey—from ProGrad recruit in 2009 to launching Aurum Technologies in 2025—an invitation to the ProGradian event arrived. A reminder of how far I’ve come—and how much further I’m ready to go. With 15 years in B2B sales and strategy, I’ve built a reputation for driving growth, inspiring teams, and shaping market direction across Australia and Asia Pacific. My leadership has delivered results—transforming territories, mentoring talent, and building brands that stand apart. I began with Powerforce, representing Mars Food and Unicharm across metro and regional territories. I expanded product ranging by over 40%, secured multi-site accounts, and built relationships with independent supermarkets. That role sparked my passion for long-term partnerships and gave me early exposure to the supply chain—working with store managers, buyers, and logistics teams to drive availability and performance. Bemis was the next step, solidifying my path in the food industry. I applied technical skills to boost conversion among SME and top-tier processors, achieving 33% growth over plan in my first year and increasing budget by 125% in my second. I coordinated across departments and expanded the customer base through targeting and relationships. Joining Chemetall BASF in 2013 marked a turning point. When I took on the NSW Food territory, it represented less than 1% of company turnover. Over the next twelve years, I grew my territory to 10% of total ANZ turnover—driven by technical expertise, strategic planning, and deep customer relationships. That growth enabled me to bring in another rep, freeing me to focus on my evolving BDM role. As I transitioned into BDM, my focus shifted from territory management to strategic expansion. I led market analysis, identified opportunities, and shaped go-to-market plans across APAC. I introduced the Food business into new markets from a zero base, supported unfamiliar teams, and laid foundations for long-term success—all during restricted travel. I also played a key role in national new business—supporting the team in opening multi-site accounts, scaling development, and aligning customer strategy. My territory became a benchmark for strategic targeting, customer loyalty, and solution-based selling. One of my proudest contributions came during the pandemic, when I developed and led an online training program to maintain service continuity across our customer base. It preserved support standards, streamlined processes, and secured key accounts while competitors faltered. I also brought Toma Skroza—who I graduated with at ProGrad—into the Chemetall business. Our shared experience laid the foundation for 15 years of joint success. He became Salesperson of the Year and quickly rose to Industry Manager, leading a team. We’ve always had a bit of friendly competition—mainly over who’s better at taking a business from zero to hero. I’ll let the scoreboard decide. Now moving into the Sales Director role at Aurum Technologies, I’m proud to lead a new venture backed by industry peers. Aurum is a shared vision to be the best. From ProGrad recruit to Territory Manager, BDM, and Sales Director, my journey reflects the kind of leadership ProGrad was built to inspire.
