Their challenge for Proforce
Microsoft, globally, was running its graduate sales program and wished to embark on the same campaign in Australia but only for 5 graduate hires in one year. Given the vast expensive of running the program for such a small pool of graduates it was deemed unproductive. Proforce presented a way for this to be achieved in a cost effective and timely manner by outsourcing this process.
Who Is Microsft Australia?
Microsoft Australia Pty Limited, established over 40 years ago, generates billions in annual revenue primarily from computer software wholesaling, cloud computing, and licensing. With around 2,584 employees as of 2025, it drives significant investments like the A$5 billion commitment (announced in 2023) to expand data centers and AI capabilities across Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra
What solution was built to address the issue?
ProForce Australia ran a nationwide graduate recruitment program to source high-potential university graduates for entry-level sales roles at Microsoft, addressing the need for a graduate sales program. ProForce’s model aligns with this by placing graduates in junior sales positions (such as account executives or business development roles) and providing structured soft skills training over their first year to accelerate their development into capable account managers.
The outcome was that within a month they had sourced their graduate intake and had them starting in their soft skills training at Proforce immediately.
